Jessica Lily's creeping and surprising original songs are about an always changing life experience transforming into very personal storytelling. Toying with unusual song formats, her songs are a balancing act of passion and power, silence and surrender.
Her singing and songwriting has been said to sound like some kind of mixture of Brandi Carslile, Edie Brikell and Norah Jones. She cites her musical influences to be Gillian Welch, Nina Simone, Dolly Parton, Patti Griffin and the 90s grunge movement.
